Hawaiki TŪ was formed in 2012





Hawaiki TŪ is a company of Māori Performance Practitioners from Aotearoa



Hawaiki TŪ is a company of indigenous Māori Performance Practitioners from Aotearoa New Zealand specialising in Haka Dance Theatre. Hawaiki TŪ is creating new and authentic Māori Performance art that reflects the wairua (spirit) of Aotearoa. The work is uniquely Māori and is inspired by the dynamic forms and principles that are contained within the art of Kapa Haka. Hawaiki TŪ was formed in 2012 as a foundation to preserve a strong basis of identity for an ongoing passion for Māori performing arts.
